Important System Update for Applications

Recruitment System Upgrade – Temporary Service Unavailability 25th July – 5th August 2026

 

We are upgrading our HR and Recruitment System

The University of Reading is currently undertaking an upgrade to its HR and Recruitment system.

As a result, the University jobs website  https://jobs.reading.ac.uk/  is temporarily unavailable, and no vacancies will be advertised during this period.

 

What services are affected?

  • Internal and External recruitment website including candidate profile/previous applications: No job adverts will be available while the upgrade is underway.
  • Employee Self Service (ESS): Unavailable for current University of Reading staff.
  • Manager Self Service (MSS): Unavailable for current University of Reading staff.

 

When will services return?

We anticipate that all services will be restored and fully operational by 5 August 2026.
