About the Associate Campus Card

Getting an Associate Campus Card

  • Who It's For: People who work closely with the University but aren't current staff or students. You need a University of Reading email address to qualify.

    Where to Collect:

 

This card has a microchip for various uses:

  1. Access campus buildings (with permission).
  2. Enter and leave the Library.
  3. Use multi-function printing devices.
  4. Pay for printing and photocopying if applicable
  5. Enter SportsPark (with membership fees). 
  6. Pay for items/services at MERL gift shop and cafe. (with discounts).
  7. Pay for items/services at the Mail Shop (with discounts).
  8. Pay for items at the Art Shop (with discounts).
  9. Pay for food/drink at ICMA Centre Café Bar (with discounts).

 

For some services, you need a PIN. Retrieve it from the Campus Card Portal.

The Campus Card isn't an ID card, but you should carry it with you as proof that you work here.

Conditions of use

By accepting your University Campus Card you agree to:

  • Keep your Campus Card and PIN safe and separate.
  • Use the Campus Card only for your personal work/study at the University.
  • Not let others use your Campus Card.
  • Take responsibility for transactions made with the Campus Card.
  • Report lost cards immediately to block them.
  • Pay relevant membership fees.
  • Abide by the terms and conditions for purchasing University goods/services with the Campus Card account
