You will need to do the following steps to prepare for the take-at-home online TEEP (Test of English for Educational Purposes).
1. Read the introduction to TEEP
Read the TEEP test introduction to learn about the different parts of the test, the question types and how the test is scored.
2. Do the demo and practice tests
The demo test will familiarise you with the test platform. It should take around 15–20 minutes to complete.
The practice test is a full sample TEEP test. You should attempt this test in one go. This could take up to 3 hours. You can check your answers in the test once finished. You can complete the test multiple times.

3. Check your equipment
Ensure your computer works with the test software by checking the minimum system requirements.
4. Register for the test
Once you are familiar with the test and you know your computer equipment meets the minimum requirements, you can apply for TEEP.
5. Download software
To take TEEP online, you will need to download the necessary test software. You will receive the download link when you register for the test.
6. Follow test instructions
After you have registered for your test, you will receive detailed instructions about what happens on the test day, including:
- how to complete the ID check
- how to access the secure browser
- proctoring
- technical support before and on the test day
- the process for checking the test environment before the start of the test.
