I will be involved in the development of English for Academic Purposes exams with the assessment team in ISLI.

Areas of interest

My scholarship interests include: teaching techniques used by subject tutors with international students; materials development for insessional academic English courses; and assessing the reliability of English for Academic Purposes exams.

Background

I have been involved in English for Academic Purposes for twenty years, teaching at Brunel University, BPP University and Goldsmiths College on presessional and insessional English courses.

I have developed insessional academic English courses for nursing, business management, accounting and law programmes.

I have also had responsibility for developing and coordinating English for Academic Purposes exams.
