Room Booking Schedule 2024/5

The points at which rooms can be booked for ad-hoc activities will be changing for 2024/5. This will support the changes to the publication of the timetable under semesterisation and the prioritisation of a consistent teaching pattern.  There will be restrictions on booking via CMISGo and via direct contact with the Room Booking Officer.

These restrictions will depend on the type of space being booked, the time of year and the date of the required booking. Please see below for full details of what may be booked and when.

Please note that CMISGo may only be used to book rooms for working days. This, therefore, excludes weekends, bank holidays and University closure days.

Department/School controlled rooms

School controlled spaces will be bookable online (as allowed by the booking permissions) for all days for the whole of the next academic year from 10^th June 2024.

Centrally controlled rooms

Non-teaching spaces

Non-teaching spaces (i.e. meeting rooms in Whiteknights House, and Carrington 203) will be bookable online for all dates next academic year from 10^th June 2024.

Committee Rooms 1 & 2 in Whiteknights House are only bookable by emailing your request to rooms@reading.ac.uk.

Semester 1

Teaching spaces required from 5^th September 2024 until the end of the Semester 1 assessment period on the 7^th February 2025 will be bookable online from 4^th September 2024.

Requests can be processed by the Room Booking Officer at rooms@reading.ac.uk from 10^th June 2024.

Semester 2

Teaching spaces required from 10^th February 2025 until the end of the Semester 2 assessment period on the 13^th June 2025 will be bookable online from 10^th December 2024.

Requests can be processed by the Room Booking Officer at rooms@reading.ac.uk from 10^th December 2024.

Christmas Vacation

Teaching spaces required during Christmas Vacation (23^rd December 2024 to 17^th January 2025) can be booked online from 4^th September 2024.

Requests can be processed by the Room Booking Officer at rooms@reading.ac.uk from 10^th June 2024.

Easter Vacation

Teaching spaces required Easter Vacation (31^st March 2025 to 18^th April 2025) can be booked online from 10^th December 2024.

Requests can be processed by the Room Booking Officer at rooms@reading.ac.uk from 10^th June 2024.

Summer Vacation

Teaching spaces required during Summer Vacation will be bookable online from 6^th January 2025.

Requests can be processed by the Room Booking Officer at rooms@reading.ac.uk from 6^th January 2025.

All bookings in central rooms are subject to change.
