Background
Katharina is a quantitative social scientist passionate about using evidence-based insights for social good. She was a Post-doctoral Fellow in Political Science at the Centre for the Politics of Feelings, and completed her PhD in Political Science at the London School of Economics in 2022. She works on comparative political behaviour using quantitative methods, including online and field experiments. In particular, Katharina researches affective polarization, political behaviour, campaigns and gender. Her research has been published in the American Political Science Review and is forthcoming at the Journal of Politics.

Katharina’s research has been funded by the Berlin Social Science Center, the Canadian Consortium for Electoral Democracy, the Carrie Chapman Catt Prize for Research on Women and Politics at Iowa State University, the LSE US Centre and the Mayor of London Civic Data Innovation Challenge.
