All things related to the effects of foods and nutrition on cognitive function including:

  • polyphenols (flavonoids) and cognitive function
  • glycaemic response and cognitive function
  • type 2 diabetes, impaired glucose tolerance and cognitive function
  • lifespan relationships between habitual diet, cognitive function and general health
  • dietary behaviour change interventions
  • exercise and cognitive function.
  • impact of diet on mental health.

I supervise research students at PhD, MSc, and UG, and currently teach on a variety of modules at MSc level and UG level.
