What did you do before coming to Reading?
Before I came to the University of Reading, I studied for my bachelor's degree in Business Marketing at the Lebanese American University in Beirut.
What are your career aspirations?
I know for a fact that this programme will open many doors to further my career development. In the future, I hope to take big steps in the area of agricultural sustainable intensification.
What interested you in your chosen area of study?
I have always been interested in agriculture. Having previously studied business, I am confident that the opportunity to put both degrees hand in hand, will allow me to steer my career into something I'm truly passionate about.
Why did you choose Reading?
I chose Reading because of its prestigious standing, the quality of education it provides to its students and the emphasis that it puts on hands-on and on-site experiences.
How do you think this qualification will help you in the future?
I am confident that a prestigious degree in Agriculture from the University of Reading will facilitate my career progression and allow me to have an advantage in a forever competitive job market.
What have you enjoyed most about your time at Reading?
I have enjoyed everything in my time at Reading - the campus, the staff, and my fellow students.
Would you recommend the programme to other students, if so why?
I would definitely recommend the programme for anyone aiming to study Agriculture and Development. The programme is well developed and covers many areas I did not initially expect it to cover, and the support provided to students is exemplary.
How has the Scholarship helped you?
The GIIDAE scholarship provided me with the financial support I needed to take on this degree and change the direction of my professional career.
