It is with great sadness that we share the news of the recent passing of former colleague Lionel Kelly, who was a lecturer at the University for many years.
His family advised the University that he passed away on 15 April 2024.
Lionel started working at the University on 1 October 1965, as a reader and worked up to be a senior lecturer in English and American Literature.
Lionel was a sessional lecturer between 2021-2022 before leaving the University in 2002.
He will be fondly remembered as a scholar and gentle man.
