Reading ranks highly in Complete University Guide 2025

Reflecting successes in student satisfaction, post-graduation employment prospects, and more, the University of Reading’s position in the top 35 institutions in the UK is confirmed, once again, according to the Complete University Guide Rankings 2025.
Published this week, the rankings place Reading at 35 overall among UK institutions, with the University’s ranking for student satisfaction rising from 58 to 40.
Reading has six subjects in the top 10 in the UK, including Land and property management (1), Building (3), and Speech and Language Therapy (4, up 5 places). There are also gains in other areas, such as Psychology, which has risen four places, to 30.
Professor Robert Van de Noort, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Reading, said: “We have maintained our strong position, as a UK University. It is great to see that, as well as our traditional areas of strength, there are other subjects maintaining their place in the top 20, such as Education, and Marketing.
“Our successes are a product of the vision, dedication and hard work of staff, and our students’ commitment to learning and developing during their time with us. Congratulations to all, on the continued excellence that has been acknowledged today, with this latest ranking.”
