Business and Economics boost in global subject rankings

The University of Reading is ranked at 79 in the world in Business and Economics subjects, according to the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject 2024.
Released today (Thursday, 25 October), the top 100 placement for Business and Economics represents a rise of more than 20 places from the 2023 rankings.
Other high-ranked subject areas include:
● Top 125 (101-125) for Arts and Humanities (from 691 universities)
● Top 125 (101-125) for Physical Sciences (from 1,370 universities)
● Top 175 (151-175) for Education (from 703 universities)
● Top 175 (151-175) for Life Sciences (from 1,059 universities)
Professor Robert Van de Noort, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Reading, said: “To be considered in the top 100 institutions globally for Business and Economics shows the excellent research, teaching and reputation of those subjects within Henley Business School and the wider University.
“I am also pleased to see the University of Reading demonstrating a consistently strong global performance in subjects such as arts and humanities, law, and computer science. This shows Reading’s continued strength in depth across the sciences, social sciences and arts.”
