Warmer UK temperatures: Sky News, The Independent, Yahoo! News, Heart, Capital and other news sites quote Professor Nigel Arnell (Meteorology) on increasing UK temperatures and also on how extreme heat could impact summer holidays. Professor Arnell was also quoted in Metro and The World News, explaining that dry conditions and wind are the biggest factors that will impact the speed that wildfires spread at.
Heatwaves: Professor Richard Allan (Meteorology) was interviewed by BBC World, (also aired on BBC News Channel) about how human made climate change has contributed to recent heatwaves around the world. His comments were picked up by BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC Radio 2, BBC York, BBC Manchester, BBC Scotland, BBC Three Counties, BBC Lancashire, BBC Suffolk, BBC Leeds, BBC Berkshire and many other regional stations, plus New York station WNET-TV.
