New City Climate Stripes: More graphics of Professor Ed Hawkins' climate stripes which provide localized versions have been released. Professor Hawkins' is quoted by Daily Maverick and Banoyi on the use of his climate stripes to see how yearly annual temperatures have increased globally, and by Manchester Evening News and UK Daily News on the intention of his localized climate stripes. Storm Ulysses data reanalysed: The BBC, Yahoo!, and Head Topics report on Professor Ed Hawkins' (Meteorology) collaborative reanalysis of meteorological data on Storm Ulysses. Debunking fake news: Dr Al Edwards (Pharmacy) is quoted by the Mirror, The Sun, The U.S. Sun, In Your Area, Manchester Evening News (and in print), Ex Bulletin, MSN, and UK Daily News discrediting false allegations that an upcoming emergency alert test being sent to devices using 4G and 5G is an "activation signal" to activate pathogens in an unspecified "shot". Belfast Radio 89 also report.

Anti-smacking bill: Professor Stella Chan (Psychology) is quoted by the Daily Mail, The Mail on a Sunday (in print - request print copy), Express Digest, and MSN on the UK government's rejection of a bill that would ban parents' smacking their children as a form of discipline. She comments that the use of physical punishment is a "slippery slope" that is no longer a relevant in today's technology-driven world.

#PlanetPartners: working with global partners to protect the environment

• Professor Richard Allan (Meteorology) was interviewed by France 24 on the call to cut greenhouse emissions as extreme weather events continue to become more severe due to climate change.
• Professor Paul Williams (Meteorology) is quoted by The Daily Telegraph (in print - request print copy) and ORF.at on how extreme flight turbulence may more than double in the future due to climate change. His research was mentioned by American radio stations including Black Information Network Radio (New York).
• Professor Hannah Cloke (Geography/Meteorology) is quoted by The Guardian (in print - request print copy) on a study she co-authored which found social inequalities are contributing to urban water crises. Read our news story.
• Dr James O’Donoghue was interviewed by BBC Radio Berkshire on leading research tracking the destruction rate of Saturn's rings which are melting due to the planet's intense gravity. Read our news story.
• Heart Radio Berkshire mentioned the University's research that claims UK cities had their warmest year on record last year.
