Reading rises in Complete University Guide 2023

The latest Complete University Guide league table, published today, sees Reading rise in the table for the third consecutive year, with increasing scores for entry standards, academic services and facilities spend.
As well as an overall rank, Reading has 20 subjects ranked among the top 20 in the UK in the 2023 rankings, including Land and Property Management, in which the University of Reading was ranked as best in the UK.
A spokesperson for the University of Reading said:
“We are committed to excellent education, research and engagement across a broad range of subject areas, covering arts, humanities, social science and sciences and are pleased to see a third year of improved performance in the Complete University Guide.
“We continue to invest in excellence in our students’ experience, our world-leading research, and our engagement with the outside world.”

Selected subject rankings include:
- Land and Property Management – 1
- Speech and Language Therapy – 5
- Town and Country Planning and Landscape Design - 8
- Agriculture and Forestry – 9
- Archaeology – 9
- Building - 9
- Food Science – 9
Other notable subject rankings include Creative Writing, which was ranked 11 for the first time in 2023, Dance, Drama and Cinematics which rose 19 places to 27, and Medical Technology and Bioengineering which rose 15 places to 16.
