#PlanetPartners: Environmental Sciences at Reading ranked among best in world

Climate science and environmental studies at the University of Reading have been ranked among the best in the world according to the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2021.
In the latest global rankings, Environmental Sciences was ranked 54 in the world by QS, placing the University of Reading as the 9th highest placed UK institution in that subject area. In addition, Reading has been ranked for the first time for Earth and Marine Sciences, where it is ranked 33 in the world, making it the 7th highest ranked among UK universities.
Professor Robert Van de Noort, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Reading, said:
“I’m pleased to see this new ranking in 2021 reflects our strengths across a wide range of subjects, but particularly in subjects which are focused on our world-class work on the study of the environment and atmosphere.
