COVID-19: expert comment on the pandemic
- Dr Jane Parker (Food) is quoted by the Telegraph on parosmia - where the sense of smell is distorted - for an article on long-Covid symptoms.
- Dr Simon Clarke (Biological Sciences) was quoted in The Times (print also) on an alleged meeting between anti-vaccine campaigners and Conservative MP Sir Graham Brady; in the Evening Standard, Yahoo!, MSN and Asian Voice on a predicted fourth wave, likely to be caused by children bringing the virus home from school; in New Scientist (print) on vaccine efficacy; and in Medscape on new Covid-19 guidelines for hospitals.
- Coverage of a possible Covid treatment derived from the University's Fifi the llama was reported in Swindon Advertiser (print).
