#PlanetPartners: Reading’s global work for a sustainable future
- The University has today launched a campaign running 4-27 May showcasing examples of work institutionally and by colleagues to tackle global societal and environmental problems through support of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. The campaign is off the back of the recent published THE Impact Rankings and will highlight one of the 17 SDGs each day throughout May. - BBC News at Ten interviewed Professor Hannah Cloke (GES) in a piece looking ahead to COP26 and asking what world leaders must do reduce carbon emissions. BBC Science Editor David Shukman also tweeted to praise Professor Ed Hawkins (Meteorology) on Twitter, after his data visualisation showing global temperatures through time was featured in the piece.
- The Guardian and Yahoo News cover Reading research on Antarctic ice shelf melt, quoting Dr Ella Gilbert (Meteorology).

COVID-19: expert comment on the pandemic
