Space Hurricane: Coverage of the analysis of satellite observations involving Professor Mike Lockwood (Meteorology) that revealed a space hurricane in Earth's upper atmosphere continues in the UK and internationally, with coverage including France24 News Online, CBBC Newsround Online, The Scotsman, Yahoo News, India Today, Environmental News Network, CNET, Business Insider and local outlets across the UK. Prof Lockwood spoke to BBC Radio Berkshire and the story was also picked up by Seattle radio station KOMO_AM.
COVID-19: expert comment on the pandemic
- Dr Simon Clarke (Biological Sciences) is quoted in the Daily Mail about the hunt for the missing Brazilian variant case; and The i (print also) on virus prevalence in the UK. He spoke to BBC Radio Surrey about new variants; and Korean radio station TBS eFM on the importance of vaccine rollout in conflict zones.
