COVID-19: expert comment on the coronavirus pandemic
- Dr Simon Clarke (Biological Sciences) wrote in the Spectator following the news about the ‘Kent’ strain of the coronavirus, appeared on BBC Radio Berkshire and TalkRADIO following the Government press conference and is quoted in The Times, Die Welt and Deuschlandfunk.
- Dr Clarke also spoke to Al Jazeera’s Inside Story about whether sporting events should go ahead, and LBC, and is quoted in the Times about national lockdown affecting case numbers, iNews (and in print) on care homes, CNBC online about mutations, France 24 on vaccine availability, and in the Shropshire Star and other local papers via PA about the R number.
- Prof Ian Jones (Biological Sciences) is quoted in the Telegraph (and in print), and number of US titles including Washington Post and Fox News online via AP about the Kent variation, and in MSN about whether the Covid-19 vaccines affect fertility.
- Prof Peter Miskell (Henley Business School) is quoted in Huff Post about the impact of Covid-19 on the film industry.
