COVID-19: expert comment on the pandemic
- Professor Ian Jones (Biological Sciences) was interviewed on BBC World Service, Deutsche Welle and KCBS-AM radio in California about the Sputnik vaccine, and his comment piece in the Lancet was mentioned in reports worldwide, including BBC World, BBC New Online, Sky News, Mail Online, the Times, Financial Times, the Telegraph, Huffington Post, Reuters, Bloomberg, France 24, Deutsche Welle, Moscow Times, Shanghai Daily, Science Times and Sydney Morning Herald.
- Dr Simon Clarke (Biological Sciences) spoke to ITV Good Morning Britain, ITV News London, LBC, Metro, Mail Online, Independent and New Delhi Times about door to door testing for new variant, LBC News about the Ox/AZ vaccine.
- Dr Al Edwards (Pharmacy) is also quoted in several reports on the effectiveness of the Sputnik vaccine, including in New Scientist and the Telegraph, Independent, France 24 and Moscow Times; and by UnHerd on virus mutations and vaccines.
