This module provides you with information on placement opportunities for your year in industry and supports you in the application process.
Aims:
The module aims to:
- Give students information on placement opportunities for their year in industry
- Provide students with information about companies and roles that exist within the food industry
- Prepare students for the placement application process
- Prepare students for their placement year

Additional outcomes:
On completion of the module students should be able to:
- Understand the careers and companies that exist within the food industry
- Develop their job application skills
Outline content:
Preparation for the placement year, CV workshop, placement careers fair, one-to-one support sessions.
Global context:
This module will help students find placement opportunities within the food industry, which operates on a global scale.
Brief description of teaching and learning methods:
Seminars and workshops. Other small group or 1:1 meetings will take place with members of staff as required.
