This module provides students with general and specific placement and employability related skills.
Aims:
To develop students' placement awareness, placement advice, introductory employment and placement application readiness (CV writing, peer support, application forms, career advice).

Students gain additional personal insight through personality tests (for career direction). Mentoring and feedback in the application process.

Gaining relevant work experience Part 1
Gaining relevant work experience Part 2 and advice from placement returners
CV workshop in a computer lab
Preparing for Placement search and applications with advice from second year students

Sessions will be interactive and seminar styled.

Summer term Placement Health Check exercise to evaluate the level of placement readiness and identify further actions.
