This module is for students studying MSc in Financial Regulation (FCA) only. 

Aims:

This module is intended to widen your appreciation of your role and to give a wide lens through which the world of financial regulation may evolve in the future.

Outline content:

This module will explore a contemporaneous list of topics built around Henley’s and invited guest scholars’ research and subject matter expertise and will draw upon the most current thinking and scholarship across the various strands of finance theory and practice. Although examples will of course change over the course of time, current examples of topics of interest include high frequency, trading, dark pools, approaches to cognition, choice in consumer products, real estate finance, pensions and international financial and regulatory trends 

Brief description of teaching and learning methods:

Taught content for this module will primarily be delivered through lectures and syndicated learning, which will take place at Henley Business School (Greenlands Campus, Henley over the residential weekend). Where appropriate materials and learning will also be shared through the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) that is intended to facilitate and aid your learning journey within the MSc Programme

2,000 word coursework essay due in or after week 10 of the Spring term
