- Base Section: Academic English Programme (AEP)
Areas of interest
-
I have worked since 1995 as a Pre-sessional and In-sessional EAP teacher at the University of Reading. My current interests lie primarily in understanding the student experience more deeply, teaching academic literacies, and exploring how this approach can be usefully contextualised in the students' individual communities of practice.
-
I am currently studying for an EdD at the Institute of Education (UoR).
-
My background is in modern foreign language teaching (French and Italian), in the secondary, FE and Adult Education sectors, so I enjoy the opportunity to keep up my language skills whenever I can!
Research projects
I develop, co-ordinate and teach on academic literacy courses in the Schools of Agriculture, Policy and Development; School of Law; and Henley Business School (Information Systems).
I am a founder member of EAP in the South-East https://se-eap.weebly.com
