Examination and Assessment

Examination questions and answers do not infringe copyright provided that the copyright material in the questions is properly credited. However, no acknowledgement is needed where it would be 'impossible' for reasons of practicality or otherwise (for example, because the work is anonymous). This also applies to all assessed work and students must correctly reference all third party material to avoid plagiarising.

Research students who wish to have their theses digitised or disseminated online will need to obtain copyright clearance for all third party material which does not fall under the defence of fair dealing.
