This initiative aims to bring EU olive oil marketing standards into line with the recently adopted changes to the International Olive Council Trade Standard for olive oils and olive pomace oils. The revision will also clarify rules on verifying the organoleptic characteristics of olive oil and the sampling procedure for conformity checks.
