BREXIT - Commission Notices to Stakeholders (Natural Mineral Waters / GMOs / Pesticides)
The Commission has issued a number of letters setting out the implications of the withdrawal of the United Kingdon from the European Union. This is due to take place at 30 March 2019, 00:00h. Negotiations are continuing and may result in a transitional agreement. However, the notices point out that, should there be no transitional agreement, then from that date the United Kingdom will be a 'third country' and all EU legal requirements relating to third countries will be applied. In many cases, approvals which are currently granted by the UK as a Member State will no longer be valid and alternaitve approval will need to be in place by the withdrawal date. For details, see:
- WITHDRAWAL OF THE UNITED KINGDOM AND EU RULES IN THE FIELD OF DIRECTIVE 2009/54/EC OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL OF 18 JUNE 2009 ON THE EXPLOITATION AND MARKETING OF NATURAL MINERAL WATERS. See: Notice: Natural Mineral Waters
- WITHDRAWAL OF THE UNITED KINGDOM AND EU RULES ON GENETICALLY MODIFIED FOOD AND FEED AND THE DELIBERATE RELEASE OF GENETICALLY MODIFIED ORGANISMS INTO THE ENVIRONMENT. See: Notice: GMO Release
- WITHDRAWAL OF THE UNITED KINGDOM AND EU RULES ON BIOCIDAL PRODUCT. See: Notice: Pesticides
