The Centre for Autism Wellbeing Hub hosts Elaine McGreevy who will deliver a talk on creating enabling communication environments for autistic children and young people.
Elaine will cover:
- An overview of autistic communication and autistic languaging
- The role of the communication partner in enabling communication: considerations for supporting spoken and non-spoken communication
- Practical strategies that we can use right away
This talk is suitable for all to attend and will be followed by a planned Q&A with the audience. Please be aware that if the audience is large, we may not get an opportunity to ask all questions.
The Centre for Autism Wellbeing Hub The Wellbeing Hub is a new initiative, funded by University of Reading Alumni. The aim of the Hub is to bring together autistic people, their families, practitioners and researchers to co-produce and deliver neurodiversity-affirming activities that support autistic young people and their families to thrive and flourish.
