The School of Agriculture, Policy and Development's Film Club and the Vice-Chancellor's Office are hosting a screening of 'Six Inches of Soil' which is open to all staff and students of the University of Reading and also members of the wider community.
Six Inches of Soil is the first full-length campaigning documentary feature film that tells the untold story of the UK's regenerative and agroecology movement and its benefits to soil. It tells the story of our soils and our food and farming system through the eyes of three new-entrant farmers and examines how we can replace this with a resilient and localised agroecosystem.
The screening will be followed by a panel and audience discussion facilitated by Prof. Martin Lukac, who will be joined by Prof. Liz Shaw, Dr. Rodica Pena and Dr. Richard Gantlett, the Managing Partner of Yatesbury House Farm in Wiltshire.
