3. Event Promotion
Promoting your event through the right channels is critical to generating the maximum possible turnout, publicity and return on investment. More information on best practices can be viewed on our Promotion and Publicity User Guide.
External Audience
Event Listings
If your event is open and accessible to the public, your event can be published on our Event Listings.
If you would like your event to be promoted on the listings, please complete the following form (if your event requires an Event Notification, please only submit the form after you have received formal approval). Please ensure you are following the guidelines and not exceeding any character limits.
Internal Audience
Staff Portal
If your event is only intended for internal staff. Your event can be published on the Staff Portal Provide the Communications Team with the following information as soon as you have received formal approval from the Events Notification team.
- Title
- Date/Time
- Location
- Event summary (no more than 200 words)
- Named point of contact for the event including an email address
- Attendee limit and whether a booking is required
- Link to the booking form
Staff Networks
Many of our staff engage in different Staff Networks. Depending on the nature of your event, it may be appropriate to contact any relevant staff networks who may be interested in attending/supporting the event. A list of networks can be found on the Staff Network page.
