This bursary provides a cash bursary of between £200 and £1,000 dependent on the cost of undertaking the placement. It is available (dependent on eligibility) for expenses such as travel and childcare
Available to UK/EU undergraduate students of all subjects.
In order to be considered for this bursary you must ensure that you have been income assessed by your Student Finance Authority and that you and your sponsors (parents) have given consent to share the household income information with the University.
MPharm students: Part 2 and part 3 MPharm students who are undertaking mandatory placements throughout the academic year will automatically receive an award based on the following criteria:
Assessed household income of less than £25,000 : £300
Assessed household income of between £25,000 - £45,000: £200
Final allocation of bursaries will be made in late June 2025. Any student who has not made their finalised household income available to the University at this point will not be considered for a bursary.
To apply for this bursary you should submit the Placement Bursary application form online via the RISIS portal with all applicable evidence. Please note that incomplete applications will not be considered. Go to the “Actions” menu and then click on “Financial Support”. From this page you will be able to click on the link “Begin/Continue application for financial support or bursary”. When you have completed your online application, you will get an acknowledgment email sent to you. The guidance notes can be found below.
