The University has a dedicated team to manage sustainability across our campuses, and to ensure that the University of Reading operates in a sustainable way. The Sustainability Services team work to do this in a number of ways:
- Saving energy - the Sustainability Team works to save energy in numerous ways, including considering the insulation in building and fitting LED energy efficient lighting. - Carbon Management Projects - the University of Reading is committed to becoming Net Zero Carbon by 2030. You can find out more about the University's Carbon Management Projects on the sustainability website.
- Reducing waste - as a University we aim to be an efficient user of resources and prevent waste being created in the first place, and then to reduce, re-use, recycle and recover items and materials.
