About us
The Electron Microscopy Laboratory provides state of the art microscopy facilities for research, diagnostics and analysis in biological, medical and physical sciences and engineering.
These advanced microscopes enable scientists, engineers and technologists to reveal details of structures at the atomic level through the nano scale regime up to the macroscopic level. In parallel such instrumentation maps the elemental composition and selected properties.
The Lab facilities are available to all members of The University of Reading across the campus and are available together with specialist services to other institutions and commercial organisations. The Laboratory is based in the School of Chemistry, Food and Pharmacy and part of the Chemical Analysis Facility.
