Environmental Scanning Electron Microscopy

 

EMLab houses an FEI Quanta  FEG 600 Environmental Scanning Electron Microscope (ESEM). This microscope allows samples to be examined at pressures and humidities which approach normal laboratory conditions.  

The ESEM is equipped with energy and wavelength dispersive elemental analysis, a cryo stage, a hot stage, a tensiometer and a micromanipulator. As well as a variety of SEM modes the ESEM also provides a STEM mode.
