Mr Dawkinds, like Sir Hugh, was a member of the Dynevor family of Dynevor Castle, Carmarthenshire, South Wales and used to obtain Dynevor oxen from them. These oxen were rough white beasts with black points and long horns and are now becoming rare (1954). They were last used on the farm at Wilcote in about 1912 and the job the last one was put to was to draw a water cart. //
