Description
A carpenter's tool bag made of plaited rush with a sacking lining and hessian binding and handles. Bags like ths were used by carpenters and other tradesmen for carrying tools from one job to another. Other names include 'frail' and 'tool bass'.

It is lined with sacking which is very worn. There is a small pocket inside one edge, in the sacking, which is bound with leather. The top edge of the basket is bound with black striped hessian band as also are the handles. The bands go round under the basket to support it. // Dimensions: Diameter: 60–63 cm// Associated information: This type of basket was used by carpenters or other tradesmen to carry their tools.’
