Description
This silver mug was made in the late 18th century. The silver marks suggest it was made in London in 1784. It was used as a trophy for a ploughing match sometime between 1861-1881. It is inscribed, 'Presented by Mold and Hawarden All England Ploughing Match to Ransomes, Sims & Head'. Ransomes, Sims & Head were later known as Ransomes, Sims & Jefferies.
