Description
These wooden bellows have a metal end and long metal nozzle. The leather of the bellows is fixed with brass studs. On top of the bellows near the sprout is a conical container with a screw cap. Inside the container is a small metal paddle. Powdered insecticide or fungicide is placed in the container and sprayed onto fruit bushes, roses or other plants by operating the bellows. The dusting device was used by the donor's aunt in the 1940s at Fernbank Nursery in Lodsworth, Sussex.
