This is a hedging or brushing hook with a tanged handle for cutting boundary hedges. It was made by A. & F. Parkes & Co. Ltd. and is inscribed, 'A. & F. PARKES & Co. LTD. // BIRMINGHAM // [ink sketch of two feet] BIPED 1173 // 3'. It was used by the donor's wife's family, who farmed at Roger's Farm, Newton Green, Sudbury, Suffolk. The family name was Fuller.
