Description
A round shave, with a curved blade and two wooden handles through which the metal end of the tang has come through and has been secured by bending round. The shave was used by Matthew West, a besom maker in Tadley, Hampshire, for shaving the handles of besoms. The West Family had been besom makers in Tadley for several generations.
