Description
This travelling basket was used for sending fish or game by rail to a private individual. These baskets were still in common use in the early 1960s. This one was probably made in Japan. It consists of a flat oblong flat bag cut from a piece of plaited reed matting with machine stitched seams and jute webbing handles.
