Description
This is a decorative wooden rattle for children to play with. It consists of a central spherical rattling section with a small metal bell inside which makes the noise, and narrow ends, one of which is flattened and the other which makes a whistling noise when blown into.

MERL miscellaneous note, Greta Bertram, 3 October 2012 - According to detailed correspondence between the donor and the Museum, the donor purchased numerous objects which he then passed on to MERL. It is unclear whether the rattle was acquired in this way.
