Description
This is a grain measure, for measuring out quantities of grain. It is made of steamed bentwood with iron branding and hancles, and has a capacity of one bushel. It is stamped with a verification stamp reading 'VR', which relates to an unknown district. It was bought by the donor for £1 at a Winchester market in 1939, and was used at Hopgood's Farm, in Soke, Hampshire.
