    This chopper was used on the donor's farm in Sackers Green, Suffolk, to cut up the carcasses of pigs, and also to chop up meat for sausages. It has a carved wooden handle.

The pig was cut up after it had had the hairs and entrails removed and was divided into loin, belly, fore-legs, black-legs and chops. The chopper may also have been used to chop up the meat for sausages. // This chopper consists of a heavy iron blade 10 inches long and between 3.6 (at the handle end) and 4.75 inches wide. There is a notch in the top of the blade. The wooden handle, which is 5.15 inches long, has been carved, not turned, and an iron band reinforces the wood at the blade socket.' //
