Description
This is a paring chisel, a tool used for fine paring work on a lathe. Its beech handle is stamped with the name 'J.Turner' and the steel shank is stamped 'J.Beardshaw and Son'. The tool was used by the donor's father, who was a wheelwright and carpenter in Braishfield, Hampshire.
