Description
This ceramic mug was produced by Simon Drew Gallery in Dartmouth, Devon. It features 'fallen archers', drawing upon the BBC Radio Four series The Archers, set in the fictinal village of Ambridge. The mug is white, with a green strip around the base representing grass on which there are four tombstones. These read 'Dan and Doris', Water', 'Mrs.P', and 'Captain' with a paw print. This is one of a selection of items loaned to the MERL for the 2011 exhibition 'Everyday stories of country folk: 60 years of The Archers and MERL: 1951-2011'.
