Description
This ‘Supertrimmer’ electric garden hedge cutter was made by Tapern Engineering Co. Ltd. in the 1960s. It is 45TN model, serial number FV11825Z. It was given to the Museum in its original box, along with an instruction leaflet. It was purchased by the donor circa 1970 and used to cut the 200 foot long holly hedge in their garden in Ashdown Forest, East Sussex. The donor referred to this hedge cutter as a ‘faithful friend’ and it was stored in their garage for many years.

Machine body of orange plastic, cable yellow. One small loose bolt in box on arrival (deemed superfluous and disposed of). Cutter itself 2010/133/1. Original box 2010/133/2.
