This is a comprehensive catalogue of implements manufactured by 'J. C. Grant, Engineer, Millwright and Mechanist, Iron & Brass Founder, Patentee and Manufacturer of Agricultural Implements Machines'. The catalogue itself was printed by Samuel Sharp, of Stamford. Amongst the items printed in the catalogue are 'Grant's Patent Lever Horse Rake', haymaking machines, drills, ploughs, harrows, cake mills, horse hoes, thrashing machines and winnowers. Among the supplementary list of 'Miscellaneous Articles' are, hot water apparatus for green houses, rick stands and pillars, fire and garden engines. The catalogue includes lists of prizes won, patrons, among whom figure 'His Royal Highness Field Marshall Prince Albert K.G.', Philip Pusey, The Duke of Bedford and other well known agriculturalists. Prices are included and it is of interest to note that ploughs can be fitted with steel mouldboards for an extra 5 shillings.
