Description
This two furrow tractor plough is a Lister-Cockshutt No. 6. It has disc coulters, semi-digging breasts, two spare 'B' mouldboards, and a main frame of forged steel. Its original colour was red, and it was made in 1936 by the Cockshutt Plow Company, of Brantford, Ontario. It was imported to the UK by R. A. Lister & Co., of Dursley, Gloucestershire, with whom the Cockshutt Plow Company had a reciprocal importing agreement. This plough was used at Low Farm, Hemingfield, Barnsley, and was purchased at auction when the farm was sold up on 30th May 1979.
