Description
This is a shearing hook, a thatching tool used for cleaning down the face of finished work. It consists of a curved steel blade which tapers towards the tip, and a wooden handle with plastic tape wrapped around it. The hook belonged to a thatcher on the Dorset-Wiltshire border.
